WHAT IS SMITH?

Simply put, Smith is a small, thoughtful men’s haircutting studio- tucked within a handcrafted leather goods workshop. We draw inspiration from the history of craftsmen, makers and artisans. We believe that strong community and relationships are forged over a haircut, (sometimes) a beer and good conversation. Personalized service is our backbone and we think haircuts should be enjoyable, relaxing and something to look forward to. We are a two person team focused on providing the highest quality haircuts and a truly customized experience for each guest.

Why Smith? The name denotes a person skilled in creating by hand.

where should I park?

Parking can be found in the front and back of the building. Please feel free to use both the back and front entrance. If it is your first time visiting, we will do our best to meet you at the door and guide you to our space. Our shop is located in the back left corner of the building.

DO you have a cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes schedules change and therefore request at least 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. A credit card is required to hold your appointment. Appointments canceled with less than 24 notice hours or clients that are a “no-show” will incur a charge amounting to the full price of scheduled service(s).

WhAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Though each and every haircut is individualized, we do have a standard system that we follow. Please arrive a bit early and treat yourself to a complimentary beverage and take a moment to unwind. To begin your service, your stylist will complete a thorough consultation. After, your hair will be washed and conditioned. Next, your haircut will be executed using a combination of tools for you hair type and texture. If you prefer, the back of your neck will be shaved after applying a steamed towel and lather (we think it adds an extra bit of precision). To continue the relaxation, your hair and scalp will be rinsed and treated with a nourishing massage. Your haircut concludes with appropriate styling; we’ll share tips/tricks and product recommendations.

At this time, Catie Starr does not accept new clients- return clients only, please.
